Our founder, Amber McBride, launched Cotton & Cashmere a few months after her 40th birthday. She saw a need for high quality, everyday fashion for women in their "middle age" years.
She has been chasing after slower fashion ever since to bring to the shoppers of C&C.
When buying for C&C, she works hard to source natural fibers whenever possible (without sacrificing style) and if it is ethically made or made in the USA, that is a bonus.
In a nutshell, that's how C&C was born.
We started out as an online boutique in March of 2023 & expanded into a brick and mortar space in our hometown of Blanco, Texas in August of 2025. Meeting neighbors, seeing the faces of the women who shop C&C (and hearing their thoughts on fashion) and creating a space for local women to gather has been a refreshing addition to our brand.
